If you see those greens appearing then you’re more likely to think it’s a better item.īy the time I finished the beta, I hadn’t actually seen a single item that felt “legendary,” “unique” or “exotic” – anything that focused on a specific release. While you have additional stats like Critical Percentage, Armor Pierce, Loot Quality (Find Items), etc., items are governed by the base Attack, Defense, and Defense stats. This is due to the basic statistics for the items in Warhammer: Chaosbane. It stands to reason that a rare item you find at level 10 is suddenly worthless compared to a common item at level 11. For example, in the first act you will find Common, Uncommon, and Rare Drops – note that the rare ones are orange in color (like the Legendaries), and I didn’t see any higher level items. Unfortunately, most tend to be quite unnecessary. Warhammer: Chaosbane provides you with an exorbitant number of drops. Additionally, I noticed a few issues with the base game – loot and inventory. The above regarding controls and user interface are just a few examples.
Since this is the beta, now is a great time to raise some issues that should hopefully be addressed once the game is released. The “God Skill Tree” where you can allocate the shards you got from random kills. Surprisingly, the UI for gamepad users feels “cleaner” as opposed to clutter when using a KB / M setup.
Your inventory and skills menu / UI will be different if you use a gamepad versus mouse and keyboard. Menu / interface commands were another matter. Nevertheless, I welcome this feature because I am more comfortable with using gamepads for ARPGs (too bad it is not available for Path of exilePC version for now). A disadvantage ? Well you can’t aim which means you can sometimes hit an ordinary mob instead of a bigger enemy. A clear plus when using a gamepad is that you don’t feel like you’re always clicking everything, as the spells will aim automatically. That said, the combat controls are smooth for the most part. Warhammer: Chaosbane also offers gamepad support for PC users, although it doesn’t seem like you can bind the buttons together. I also leveled up for my teleportation spell. Burn opponents with the dragon’s flame, while a “god’s spell” rains lightning bolts from the sky.
